If you have even a hint of old school nostalgia in your bones, you’ll jump at the chance to head to Gruene Hall for Lone Star Swing! A combination of classic swing, Texas moves, and jazz music, Lone Star Swing is your opportunity to dance your way into the past. Beginners and pros alike are welcome...show off your wraps, tunnels, turns and spins! The best part? You won’t even need a partner (or swing dancing experience) to join in on the fun. According to Merle Travis, "Western swing is nothing more than a group of talented country boys, unschooled in music, but playing the music they feel, beating a solid two-four rhythm to the harmonies that buzz around their brains."
