Five Things to Do in New Braunfels (and Seguin!) This Weekend October 7-9

New Braunfels residents love that the town provides so much to see and do while still maintaining a great culture and small town feel. This weekend is no exception; there are a variety of different “things” happening in and around town. No need to research, four of the best fun things to do in New Braunfels (and one in Seguin!) this weekend are described below. Hopefully, this list will make planning a perfect Texas Hill Country weekend a little easier!

See Fall into Art As it Continues

Keep the culture rolling in New Braunfels at the Fall into Art festival that is going on this entire month. This weekend the FotoFiesta Juried Exhibit is at the Civic Center, the Circle Arts Theater is showing the “God of Carnage” and “Night Comes Early” plays at the Bulverde, and on Sunday, the River City Writers are having a Literary Reading at Vista Village. Art has been flourishing in the culture of the town of New Braunfels and has allowed its citizens to be more personal with the people they share the city with. By putting on this festival, the McKenna Foundation wants to see the New Braunfels community flourish in art by creating funding through grants for artists.

Gruene Music and Wine Fest is back and is ready to kick off the fun. Celebrating the two best things to come in and out of Gruene: great music and tasty wine. The festival is a fun way for locals and tourists alike to have some good fun while raising funds for the United Way of Comal County. It’s a night to let loose for a cause! Gruene Rd, where the wine flows like beer (did we do that right?), is also home to the Historic Gruene Hall which will feature Jack Ingram, Charlie Robison & Bruce Robison, The Marshall Tucker Band, Stoney LaRue, the Dirty River Boys, and much more! On Sunday there is a specialty beer tasting at the Grapevine Grounds. Don’t miss out! We're getting our tickets now!
