This weekend New Braunfels Brewing Company is releasing two special batch beers and throwing a get together to celebrate. Friday is the release of Les Fleurs du Mal, “The Flowers of Evil.” This beer is a sour hefeweizen aged on lemongrass, which is a combination for a nice sour and refreshing beverage to drink while the sun is still up. Les Fleurs du Mal will be in bottles and on draft from 4:00-9:00 PM at the brewery. Saturday from 1:00-7:00 PM, they will release a Jalapeño beer that is a “must try” for all the readers who are craft beers experimentalists. Spicy, sour, and salty - this beer is a Berliner Weiss fermented and then blended with fresh dill pickle juice with added jalapeños. With a specialty like this one, it will only be on draft.
