About Lisa Westerbeck
Raised around the world in a military family and later a member of the Peace Corps in Poland, Lisa Westerbeck returned to and ultimately settled in central Texas to be near family in 2013. “After living in some beautiful and unique places, I chose New Braunfels as my hometown", she says. “It just feels right!” Lisa is an accomplished professional who holds a Bachelor’s degrees in Anthropology and Geography from Texas State University, a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Arizona, and the real estate designations of GRI (Graduate, REALTOR® Institute), RENE (Real Estate Negotiation Expert), and PSA (Pricing Strategy Advisor).
Lisa’s professional career prior to real estate largely focused on grant writing and project management at both municipal and academic levels, the most recent being at Texas State University, where she was named Employee of the Month in August 2017. She also has extensive experience in urban and regional planning, striving to make cities walkable and bike-friendly.
As a licensed REALTOR® and founder of Hometown Realty Group, Lisa finds great fulfillment in serving others as they achieve their real estate goals. Her methodical style naturally lends itself to streamlining the buying and selling processes and educating her clients as she guides them through their sale or purchase. Lisa focuses on the Texas Hill Country and the I-35 Corridor between Austin and San Antonio and has vast experience with transaction management, client relationships, relocation, new construction and real estate technologies. She partners with staging professional Catherine Goodner to prepare homes for the market, and Fossum Studios for architectural photography, videography, and aerial footage.
In Lisa’s spare time, she likes to workout, tube, kayak or paddleboard the Comal, Guadalupe or San Marcos rivers, and spend time with her husband and two dogs.
