1. Run Through the Natural Bridge Caverns

Is one of your New Year’s resolutions to be more outgoing? Why not go for a run in a cave! On February 3rd, the Natural Bridge Caverns are hosting their namesake trail run. Starting in the belly of the cavern, this race is the only one of its kind in the world. Events include a 5k, 10k and Half Marathon that runs on the private property of Natural Bridge Caverns. 2. Support a Local Theatre Group

For the full month of February, The Circle Arts Theatre is presenting “9 to 5,” a hit musical based on the classic 80's movie! Complete with music and lyrics by Dolly Parton, this hilarious story follows friendship and revenge in the “Rolodex era.” Get your tickets here!

3. Dance to a Beatles Cover Band

The Beatles are coming to town! (Well... sort of.) The iconic Beatles cover band Liverpool Legends will be at the Brauntex Theatre on February 9th. Composed of musicians and actors hand-picked by relatives of some of the late Beatles, this group takes the audience back in time. Grab your tickets here!

4. Shop at a Valentine’s Day Market

Need to buy something sweet for Valentine’s Day? Head to Krause’s Valentine’s Market every weekend leading up to the special day. Artisans will be set up in the pavilion to sell their goods. Plus, you can break up the shopping with some food and beer while you’re at it!

5. Raise your Hands at Gospel Brunch

Gospel Brunch with a Texas Twist” is a Gruene Hall tradition. Featuring southern comfort food (catered by Gristmill River Restaurant & Bar), cowboy gospel tunes (by Bret Graham), and plenty of fun. Brunch hours are 10:30am-12pm.

6. Go Fishing at Troutfest

Troutfest (hosted by the Guadalupe River Chapter of Trout Unlimited) is the largest event of its kind in the state of Texas, featuring speakers, prizes, film, vendors, and (of course!) fly fishing. Sign up on the website.

7. Shred Some Waves at the Ski Ranch

Get ready for the 15th annual Texas Ski Ranch Freeze Ride! This traditional jam has divisions for all levels of wakeboard riders and is set in one of the coldest times of the year. Get registered here and prepare to wipe out in some cold water!

8. Vote for Your Favorite Chili

Ruggedman Brewing Company wants you to come out to their 1st Annual ChiliFest! They are releasing special beers specifically for the event and will have live music and prizes for the best chili. Register here to compete, or show up and enjoy the good food!

9. Head to a Beer and Yoga Event

Guadalupe Brewing Company is hosting a fun yoga and beer event to support the National MS Society! Bring your mat and come thirsty as you choose to participate in up to three events throughout the day. Stretch it out, feel balance and peace, and sip on a delicious, hoppy beer. What a day!

10. See a Legendary Folk Trio Perform

Sara Watkins, Aoife O'Donovan, and Sarah Jarosz (a Wimberley native) will take Gruene Hall by storm this month with the soaring melodies and intricate songwriting of their band “I’m With Her.” The three band members possess multiple Grammy awards and provide a show you will remember forever.
