Dry Comal Creek Vineyards

Dry Comal Creek Vineyards is an award-winning, family-owned, boutique wine producer right in our very own New Braunfels. The first vines here were planted when Franklin Houser decided to retire from his law practice in 1992, and in 1998 the first wine was produced alongside a tasting room. Dry Comal Creek makes Texas wine, meaning the climate and soil primarily dictate how the wine tastes, giving it a unique and special flavor for everyone to enjoy. Texas Style emphasizes fruit-forward taste with soft tannins, “flower” where applicable, mouthfeel, and smoothness.

The Tasting Room is open from noon to 5:00 PM all week and prices vary based on the experience you want. The types of wines include dry white, demo-sweet, red, reserve, sparkling wine and ports and their featured wine at the moment is a 2011 Black Spanish red.
