About Kelly Thate
David and Kelly moved to Austin from the North just after their graduation. David came from Minnesota and Kelly from Indiana literally a decade apart. They both happened to be at a waterski tournament in Frame Switch, Texas in August of 1990, and it was love at first sight for these two, destined to be together forever. It was natural for both David and Kelly to be in the Real Estate industry, David’s father was an entrepreneur owning real estate, gas stations, and ranches in Minnesota, and Kelly’s father was a builder and a craftsman. With over 50 years of experience in the housing industry together they are The Thate Team. The Thate Team has earned a reputation for honesty, integrity, and professionalism, with the highest level of expertise and knowledge in the industry. David brings a wealth of knowledge as a custom architect, builder, land developer, and ranch expert, including commercial. Kelly thoroughly enjoys the residential side of real estate. Over the years, David’s building has rubbed off on Kelly, as she now loves to remodel and restore homes to their natural beauty. To date, David and Kelly Thate still live in Central Texas, and have been blessed with 5 children, and 7 grandchildren. David and Kelly are both actively volunteering in their Church, as well as volunteering with Agape Pregnancy Center, and Education Connection. They support the Jail To Job Ministry, Any Baby Can, Community First, St. Jude, and Parker and Clay in Africa.
