1. Attend a Super Bowl Party

Everybody is going to be watching the Super Bowl this year, so skip trying to host your own party and head to the Freiheit for a free one! A 12-foot blow up projector screen will be up on the stage with plenty of tables available for big groups. 2. Eat and Support NBISD

The New Braunfels I SD Education Foundation is hosting Taste of the Town 2018 on Tuesday, February 6th at the New Braunfels Civic Center. Grab a plate and eat some delicious food while participating in raffles, silent auctions, and more. Proceeds from the event go towards the foundation, which funds programs that improve educational opportunities for students of NBISD. Tickets are available here.

3. Laugh at a Comedy Show

What’s better than a night of laughing your buns off? The Sylver Spoon Dinner Theater is putting on an evening of stand-up comedy, dinner, drinks, and more. The first Wednesday of every month is set aside just for comedy, so make it a monthly tradition this year to check it out. Tickets are $5, and only 40 seats are available, so get them now!

4. Get Artsy with Some Friends

Unlock your inner artist and get inspired at the Art Haus. Make your way to the Pour Haus and grab a drink while you check out a showcase of local artists around Central Texas specializing in ceramics, paint, glass, wood, metal, fiber, and much more. 5. Celebrate Fat Tuesday

Faust Hotel and Brewing Company always throws amazing parties, and this one is no exception. Alex Meixner is getting loud for a Fat Tuesday bash on February 13th at the Brauntex Theatre. If you aren’t familiar with the Alex Meixner Band, this show is a perfect way to be introduced to a New Braunfels icon. Hear them play the various genres they are proficient in, such as polka, zydeco, pop, rock, jazz, and country. Tickets are available here.

6. Sample Some New Wines

The third Thursday of every month, the Grapevine in Gruene’s Historic District features a Texas winery and showcases three of their best wines alongside a craft brew picked by the Grapevine staff. 7. Get Educated at Troutfest

8. Run an Obstacle Course

Texas Ski Ranch is hosting their first annual Rugged Ranch Run this month on their extreme sports compound. The Rugged Ranch Run is a 3k filled with obstacles and an awesome way to have some friendly competition. The run benefits the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Gruene Market Days is an artisan market held in the Historic Gruene District every 3rd weekend of the month. All the vendors create the products themselves and are usually on-site to talk about their art. Several different mediums are on display from woodworking to homemade spices, and all are encouraged to dine at one of the many restaurants in the area while they shopping!

10. Dance for a Cure
