​5 Things to Do in New Braunfels on New Years Eve

It’s that time again - the very last day of the year! Parties and concerts and special events are happening all around town, and we wanted to let you guys know about all the fun. Since it is New Years Eve weekend, we tailored this list to showcase a few events going on in New Braunfels for the last night of the year. Have a happy new year, dear readers! Hopefully, this list will make planning a perfect Texas Hill Country outing a little easier.

1. Get Social at the Downtown Social

One of the newest additions to downtown New Braunfels is Downtown Social, a multi-purpose hang zone for you and your friends to spend an entire night doing loads of social activities. Featuring full bar and kitchen, bowling, bar games, big screen televisions, and more, this spot is set up to provide fun for you and your crew all night long! Plus, Downtown Social is partnering up with Pour Haus to bring you a full night of live music! Soul Sessions and the Clever Name Band will help you ring in the new year. Tickets are $20 at the door, or you can grab tickets online.

2. Dance The Night Away

Did somebody say, “free party?!” The Phoenix Saloon wants all the neighbors to come out and get wild at their Big Bumper Funtastic New Year’s Eve Dance Party Special, featuring house favorites Bonnie & the Bootleggers. If you are looking for a party to dance until someone has to drag you off the floor, look no further than the Phoenix. If you want to grab a table, get there early!

3. Have an Early Party

If you still want to celebrate the new year, but don’t want to stay up too late, stop by the New Years Eve Pre-Party at the Villa at Gruene! They are offering drink specials and live music from Bo Brumble until 7:00 pm, so you can get the party bug out at a reasonable hour.

4. See Country Music

What’s more Texan than a New Years Eve spent cutting a rug to some good old country music? Jason Boland & The Stragglers are rocking out at River Road Ice House all night. Bring some friends and get a little country! Yeehaw!

5. Go to a Masquerade Ball

Get fancy, dress your best, see some opera, and ring in 2018 in the classiest way at the Hill Country Opera performance “A Night in Old Vienna.” The event will include drinks, dinner, performance, and a midnight toast. Tickets are $85 and available here!
