Five Things to Do in New Braunfels (and Seguin!) This Weekend August 5-7

New Braunfels residents love that the town provides so much to see and do while still maintaining a great culture and small town feel. This weekend is no exception; there are a variety of different “things” happening in and around town. No need to research, five of the best fun things to do in New Braunfels this weekend are described below. Hopefully, this list will make planning a perfect Texas Hill Country weekend a little easier!

Partake in the Josh Abbott Toobapalooza

It’s a country-loving good time at the Whitewater Amphitheater this weekend as Josh Abbott takes the stage to bring in some tumbling-Texas country music. He is playing to promote his album “Front Row Seat” and is kicking off a tour that will bring him and his band across the nation. To top it off, it’s his “Toobapalooza”, where concertgoers are encouraged to tube on the Guadalupe River before the show and enjoy a true Hill Country weekend. Opening acts are Carly Pearce, Wade Bowen, and Hunter Hutchinson. Tickets are available on the Whitewater Amphitheater website and at the door.

When: Friday, 7:30 PM

Where: 11860 FM 306

Compete in a Grape Stomp

Dry Comal Creek Vineyards is hosting a competitive Grape Stomp this weekend in New Braunfels! Couples will compete in a traditional grape stomp where one will do the stomping, and the other will do the collecting. The group who gets the most juice in the time provided wins. A prize will go to the winner as well as having their names included on a permanent plaque in the Tasting Room. If you have a dress that once meant something but no longer does (AKA wedding, bridesmaid, prom), don’t miss this unique flair to the event by stomping and staining in that dress; an event the vineyard affectionately calls “Trash the Dress.  ”Register online or in the Tasting Room, Saturday is already sold out, but Sunday still has tickets. Get in on this fun event!

When: Saturday, 10:00AM (sold out), Sunday 10:00AM (tickets available)
