Five Things to Do in New Braunfels (and Seguin!) This Weekend (November 11-13)

New Braunfels residents love that the town provides so much to see and do while still maintaining a great culture and small town feel. This weekend is no exception; there is a variety of different “things” happening in and around town. No need to research, five of the best fun things to do in New Braunfels this weekend are described below. Hopefully, this list will make planning a perfect Texas Hill Country weekend a little easier!

Celebrate the Veterans

I think we can all collectively agree that we are thrilled the election is over, and the friendly people at Hill Country Holiday Haus think so too. This Friday, they would love to celebrate our troops for Veterans Day by keeping the place open late for patrons to shop under the twinkling lights. The festivities will include special discounts and gifts all night for any veterans who come in and shop. They plan on having live music by Melissa Engleman and of course, great wine will be served! They will be open all day, so try to get out there and celebrate those who protect us.

If you haven’t “Sprechen sie Fun” yet, it is your last weekend to check out the glory that is New Braunfels’ Wurstfest. As we have said in  previous articles, this festival is one that is talked up by locals and tourists alike, and for good reason. Imported German beer will flow until the final bell has rung on Sunday, and the sausage will be cooked and served hot and ready for you and the family to enjoy. Several polka bands have been tearing up the stage all week and bringing the youthful joy out of everybody, so be sure to catch some live music for a feeling you won’t forget. The schedule for all the events this weekend is available here, and be sure to wear your lederhosen or dirndls if you have them!
