Every bit as magical as its whimsy name implies, Mystic Quarry is a modern Texas campground that offers a particularly glamorous take on “outdoor adventure.” Located just minutes from both the Guadalupe River and Canyon Lake, Mystic Quarry is the perfect “glamping” getaway, featuring novelty accommodations galore. From tiny houses to dog-friendly cottages and luxury “boho” tipis, guests can stay in style, all while enjoying fire pits, poolside fun, hammocks, sports courts and outdoor games, along with beehives, bat boxes, and chicken coops!
We’re ALL heart-eyes over this mega-chic Airbnb. Reminiscent of a lifestyle photoshoot set, this “Modern Hill Country Home” gives off a cozy, yet sleek minimalist vibe we can all swoon over. With clean, white walls punctuated by teeny cacti and lush greenery, this private spot is located about 10 minutes from the heart of New Braunfels (and all its treasures). Settle into the clean, crisp rooms, snap a few gorgeous photos, and then head outside to the fire pit.

“Modern luxury meets new-urban charm” in New Braunfels’ mini boutique-style hotel: TCTX Urban Lodge. A relatively new construction located just minutes from downtown, TCTX is equal parts modern styling and charming New Orleans French Quarter (in the Texas Hill Country, of course). Settle into a chic room or suite, then head out to the private courtyard open-air patio for a heated dipping pool cozy seating.
Founded in 1955, Krause Springs has long been hailed as a favorite Hill Country hideaway, featuring primitive campsites and RV sites alongside a gorgeous gathering of over thirty natural springs, several of which feed into the man-made pool and the natural pool (which flow into Lake Travis). A bit out-of-the-way (approximately 1.5 hours from New Braunfels, just outside Spicewood), we think Krause Springs is well-worth the trek. The natural area stretches across 115 acres of lush Texas paradise, framed by an awning of outstretched cypress trees and minty-green waters.

Looking for a stylish getaway close to the river? The mid-mod “Graham Haus” might be right up your alley. Within walking distance to historic Gruene (and mere steps away from the crystal-clear Comal), this newly renovated, retro-styled condo features all new furniture and an ultra-cozy vibe.

An exotic take on typical Hill Country camping, Geronimo Creek Retreat is a unique vacation rental lodge straight out of a storybook. Featuring treehouse cabins and tipis (which are all fully furnished and stocked with luxury amenities), Geronimo’s accommodations are nestled along a spring-fed creek that allows for free swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding, fishing, and rope swings. Sounds like the perfect getaway to us.

Located just 25 miles away in the charming coves of Wimberley, TX, this retro airstream (known affectionately as “The Dixie Daisy”) might just be the cutest “night away” we’ve ever seen. Nestled on 10 beautiful creekside acres, this teeny “glamping” opportunity features a hot tub, fire pit, outdoor shower, basic kitchen, queen bed, wifi, TV, small library of western movies (cuz why not?). A perfect blend of vintage style and Texas charm, the Dixie Daisy invites you to take a step back in time while enjoying an ice-cold Shiner.
